Why the focus on the breath?
At Breathe Health Retreats we are fascinated by the power of the breath. The unconscious automatic breath is an outward expression of the inner state of being and will be chaotic and overly busy if the being is stressed. Conversely, it will be calm and gentle if the being is rested and well.
We can use the breath consciously to initiate many different states of being including meditation and deep relaxation, as well as arousal. It is a transformative tool when used intentionally with the right guidance.
We love to use the breath to provide transformations in health. Whether you want to explore your inner genius, or let go of a belief which no longer serves you, or perhaps you’d simply like to sleep better. At Breathe Health Retreats, we have a service to suit your needs.
What kind of Breathwork is available?
Breathe Health Retreats founder Dan Hanson has been using various forms of Breathwork with clients since 2012. He qualified in the Buteyko Institute method in 2012 after correcting his own sleep apnea using the method. He has been an active member of the Institute ever since. He also works with various teams to run transformative self-enquiry events including men’s groups, wilderness retreats and Rites of Passage camps for fathers and sons.
